I can find no information on there website about any engine made before 2004 so I can not confirm a date on the engine either.Īny help you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. The engine is a Tecumseh engine I can still make out the Indian head. Find great deals on eBay for miller bluestar 2e.
The Face Plate looks more like a 1, 1e, or 1f which would put in about 1982-ish. The Miller Roughneck 1E is a portable arc welder/generator combination. However, when searching the miller owner manuals, I don’t see a 2e from 1976.
The serial # on the welder is HG079990, which from what I gather would put this at a 1976 machine. I bought a Miller Roughneck 2e (may actually be an 'f') welder powered by a tecumseh OH140 single cylinder motor. It lists 225 amp welding capacity and has two 120V receptacles and a four prong twist lock for 240. The face plate is very faded but still readable. By word of mouth a guy has a Miller Roughneck 2 welder/generator for sale but does not know much about it. This machine needs some work so it would benefit me greatly to at least know the production date when I start calling around for parts. 1988 Miller Roughneck2/2E Owners Manual Arc Welding Power Source Guide COPY.
